About this product
Antodine is a medicine containing famotidine that relieves symptoms such as persistent cough, stomach pain, heartburn and difficulty swallowing.
Dosage and method of use:
For the treatment of duodenal ulcer:
A daily dose of 20 mg is taken every 12 hours, or a 40 mg tablet is taken once a day before bed. The treatment continues for 8 weeks, then the dose can be reduced to 20 mg before bedtime.
Dosage for treating stomach ulcers: a 40 mg tablet is taken before bedtime for 8 weeks.
Esophageal reflux disease: A 20-mg tablet is taken every 12 hours for 6 weeks, and in severe cases, a 40-mg tablet is taken every 12 hours for 12 weeks.
For the treatment of burning in the chest: a 20 mg tablet is taken every 12 hours.
Indications:
Short-term treatment of active duodenal ulcer.
Preventive treatment of duodenal ulcer patients with reduced doses after healing of active ulcers.
Short-term treatment of active benign gastric ulcer.
Short-term treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
It is also used for the short-term treatment of esophagitis due to gastroesophageal reflux disease, including erosive disease or ulceration diagnosed by endoscopy.
Treatment of pathological hypersecretory conditions (eg, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, multiple endocrine neoplasia)
As a prophylactic treatment for ulcers in intensive care patients
